Togo is bordered by Ghana to the west, Benin to the east, and Burkina Faso to the north. Its population is around 8 million people, and its capital and largest city is Lomé – which is where our office is based. The official language is French, but many other African languages are spoken as well. Togo has a diverse culture, influenced by its many ethnic groups, including the Ewe, Mina, and Kabre people. The economy is largely based on agriculture, with the main crops being cocoa, coffee, and cotton.
