Côte d’Ivoire is the world’s largest producer of cocoa (the second largest is Ghana and the third largest is Indonesia). Beyond Beans has been active in Côte d’Ivoire since 2019. At the end of 2024, our projects reached around 50,000 farmers across 52 cooperatives.

In Côte d’Ivoire we are working with Nestlé to help close the living income gap and improve the livelihoods of cocoa-farming communities. As part of this programme, farmers and their families receive cash incentives – paid directly through mobile payment – to foster the adoption of good practices, including regenerative agriculture, that help boost productivity and diversify farmer income.
